All members, youth and adult, are invited and encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting of Pennacook Lodge to hear reports of the officer team about the 2022-2023 year, set goals for the next year and to elect the new team of officers for 2023-2024. The four lodge officer positions to be elected are Chief, Vice Chief, Secretary and Treasurer. Only youth members, under 21 years of age who are currently active/dues paid members of Pennacook Lodge and registered with the BSA are eligible to run for lodge office and to vote in the election. In addition an officer must be under 21 for their entire term in office which would be July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
The new Lodge Officer inauguration celebration and ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 6pm at New England Base Camp, Milton, MA.
The June 21st Annual Meeting will begin with registration at 6pm and a lodge BBQ cookout being served at approximately 6:15pm with the meeting and officer election immediately following. Pre-registration is necessary.
Any youth member interested in running for Lodge Officer should review the Lodge By-Laws, and consider contacting one of the current lodge officers to ask questions about the responsibilities of the position. In accordance with the By-Laws, all those interested in running for office must inform the Lodge Adviser in advance and participate in a pre-election interview.
